방향을 나타낼 때는 direction을 활용하여 ‘같은 방향’이면 in the same direction을, ‘반대 방향’이면 in the opposite direction을 부사구로 쓴다. 그래서 ‘같은 방향으로 가다’라는 말은 go in the same direction이고 ‘(나사 등을) 반대편으로 돌리다’라는 말은 turn it in the opposite direction이다.
