The Galbijim Wiki has grown quite diverse and into varying directions over the years, but one direction we are beginning to channel into, involves the development of City Guides. We’ve made token development on this project for most cities, however, cities like Daegu and Bundang are much further along than most. As a result, we are going to be using Daegu as the operating template for development of an online magazine, supplemented by its deep resources on the wiki. We’re temporary calling this online endeavor Daegu Pockets.
Presently, the Daegu Pockets magazine will operate via Galbijim’s blog, where readers may view Daegu-specific articles by following the relevant Daegu tag/category.
In addition to checking the blog, you can join our distribution list on Facebook, where we send monthly updates on Daegu news, events, restaurants, etc.
However, we encourage Daegu Pockets readers to not just read up on the Daegu content, but also all of the blog’s articles, as we regularly write about Korea news, ESL news and ESL conversation ideas, Korean language tips, Korean food, travel ideas, and things that are of interest to readers in all cities.

Been in Daegu for about 7 months now (this is my third time in Korea) and thinking about staying another 2 years at least. As far as writing goes it is one of my favirote hobbies, and since I am here and I do love the country (food, people, and the land itself)and I love taking amateur (very amateur) pictures, mainly of the countryside and the sky. So if I can help out in anyway, I would love to at least try. My Korean of course is nil, barely any whatsoever really, but I am trying to learn on my own, hard to do, so that will be a very long time in coming probably by the time I leave (if I do stay another two years) I may be able to carry on a two sentence conversation. LOL
